Since 2003, the BIO-UV Group has been developing and patenting specific ranges (in Super Duplex anti-corrosion material) for the medium and low pressure disinfection and dechloramination of commercial pools and spas. To date, over 5,000 commercial pools and spas in Europe are equipped (municipal pools, campgrounds, wellness centres, lodges, etc.), with over 2,000 in France alone, for an enhanced user and operator experience with greater regard for their health and safety.

On the strength of its technological leadership, the BIO-UV Group was the first company accredited by the French Ministry of Health for medium pressure (MP) dechloramination and, since 2013, for low pressure (LP and UV HO) as well. The BIO-UV Group is now the only French manufacturer to have been accredited for its 2 medium and low pressure ranges. Our dechloramination units are authorised to equip commercial basins, subject to ARS (French regional health agency) control.

All ranges are certified NSF 50 and evaluated Cryptosporidium. The evaluated performances, which go beyond the requirements of this standard, deliver an optimal efficacy of disinfection to reduce micro-organisms (such as bacteria, viruses, Cryptosporidium, Giardia, etc.) not destroyed by ozone or chlorine at usual doses.

Characteristics of the MPL SD range

  • The MPL SD range delivers a UV-C dose of 60 mJ/cm2 at the end of the lamp’s life in order to guarantee optimum dechloramination and ensure the effective destruction of micro organisms
